It's Grand. It's May Racing!

The TAB Warrnambool May Racing Carnival is one of Australia's hallmark country racing events. Across three days, thousands of racing enthusiasts will come together at Warrnambool Racing Carnival to watch 28 races, including the Brierly Steeplechase, Galleywood Hurdle and Grand Annual Steeplechase. Attendees will be immersed in the excitement of country racing, autumn-inspired race fashion and local hospitality.

This three-day Carnival is renowned for its rich racing traditions and home to the internationally acclaimed Grand Annual Steeplechase, the longest of its kind in Australia. An expedition to the hill for a Birdseye view of the visually breath-taking 5,500m race is an iconic visitor experience.

The carnival will begin with the Annual Welcome To Warrnambool Carnival Launch Party at the Whalers Hotel, hosted by the Australian Jumps Racing Association and Country Racing Victoria. Jumps enthusiasts past and present will come together to celebrate another year of the flagship carnival.

Warrnambool and One Fit Hurdles on 'After The Last'

AJRA's General Manager, Marlee Horobin joined After The Last to discuss all things Warrnambool, including the new One Fit Hurdles which will feature at the race.

Additional insight is also given by renowned Jumps Trainer, Eric Musgrove, about how jumps horses respond to the new hurdles - in particular how they respect them due to their design.
