2019 STRAPPER SERIES
Following a successful program over the last four years, the AJRA is pleased to announce the continuance of an initiative proudly supported by Country Racing Victoria to engage and recognise the Strappers involved in the care of their Jumps Racehorses. AJRA have chosen the 16 feature races from the J J Houlahan Series which commences with the Von Doussa Steeplechase in March at the Oakbank Carnival in South Australia and concludes with the Grand National in August at Sandown in Victoria. The winning strapper of each race will receive $100 cash and a specially embroidered AJRA cap.
1 - GROOM PRESENTATION:

- Creativity in matching outfit to stable or horse

2 - HORSE PRESENTATION
- Tail and forelock clean, brushed and conditioned
- Mane pulled and brushed
- Face, ears and nose, trimmed, bridle path trimmed, clean
- Coat Condition, shiny and healthy
- Feet oiled • Legs clean
- White markings are white
- Cleanliness of race gear
